Hey everyone, Im Valerie and Im an addict. I relapsed after 4 1/2 years clean and now after being out there again for a while, Im back in the program. My sobriety date is May 13th 2008 and Ive never felt better about it. When I got clean the first time, I kept secrets inside, never kept a sponsor,  and I never worked the steps all the way through. Actually, I used church as my only crutch for recovery and figured out that THAT doesnt work for ME. I have to work my steps and go to meetings for the rest of my life. I, along with my family and friends thought I was "fixed". Well low and behold, the Hand of God did not come down and slap me for thinking that, but thats what it felt like.

I have two beautiful children, boys......ages 7 and 15 and they are the light and joy of my life. I am single and lack about a semester of college to be a paralegal. I like to swim, computers, read, write, I would love to learn to sew and I LOVE to take pictures.
