Im a 25 year old guy who grew up in a good home , with good family and friends. I was very active and accelled at anything I tried. At 14 I was winning the states for BMX racing. I went on to college studied computers and by 19 I was working for the state running a computer system and bought my first house at 20 years old. I had experimented with drugs and alcohol but they were never a priority. By the time I was 21 I was a daily drinker. I had everything I wanted in life.. 2 cars, motorcycles, dirtbikes A bigger house, pets etc… I looked OK from the outside… I thought settling down and having a kid would slow my drinking down. It did. The perks and OCs didn’t. Who would have thought I would throw my life. I had a hole in my soul I was trying to fill with beer, drugs and toys.. by 25 I had lost my wife, child, house, cars… EVERYTHING. There I was on the ground crying.. dope sick and hopeless. I made a phone call to my mother begging for help. I few days later I checked into a detox and my recovery began.
