| Thanks to God and Narcotics Anonymous, I have been clean for 2 years, 4 months andsome-odd days. I got clean when I was 19, and I'll be 22 in September. I'm not here for any thirteenth-stepping, but I'm not ruling out any fourteenth-stepping (ask me if you're curious what that means). My program is a recovery stew: I throw in a little bit of everything until I like how it tastes. I need meetings, sponsorship, stepwork, prayer/meditation, service (in all of its forms) and fellowshipping in order to feel anything close to serenity. If I forget about one of those, I have difficulty not beating myself up. |
