My name is Charity J. I am a grateful recovering addict. NA has saved my life. I have been in and out of the program for many years. It wasnt until 2006 when something clicked and I just decided to finally STAY!!!!! I have experienced so much in recovery that I would never have when I was using. I almost lost my youngest daughter to a viral infection last year. I was in Portland Oregon over 200 miles from home and women in NA came to me. They took me to meetings and called me to see if I needed anything. There was something I needed which was love and support.. I got that and I am grateful.I also have a teenage daughter that has typical teenage struggles. I have been there for her in her times of need. I have built up the trust she has needed from me. I am an example to her. She actually says I am her Hero. I have many friends in recovery. I have come from someone that couldnt do a damn thing for herself. To a person that is willing to put her hand out to someone else. Its not all about me anymore which is a miracle itself.
