I guess I write stuff about me here, huh?
I'm Jess, an addict from PA. I'm a mother. I have a 2 and 1/2 year old son, Dylan, and a 1 year old daughter, Aleni. They make up most of my life outside of recovery. I also work full time as a mortgage consultant for a private financial group in East Stroudsburg, PA. I started with the company as a tax professional when I came back into recovery this last time. Finances never really interested me, I majored in marine biology, psychology and philosophy in the short time I went to college, so I don't know how mortgages and taxes fit into that. God put the oppurtunity in my life, there are no coincidences, and so far it's turning out to be one of the best choices I've made in a while. I'm real new to the business, but I'm taking the oppurtunities to learn everyday and have found that I actually enjoy what I do. Ask me a year ago what kind of job or career I wanted and I would have said, "ummmm housewife". Today I actually see myself moving forward in this business and am excited about it. Amazing what a little change of perspective can do for someone's life. I currently live with my kids and their father, also an addict in recovery.
I love to ski, snowboard and swim, none of which I really have enough time to enjoy as much as I'd like to. I like to take my kids to the park or go hiking in the woods whenever I can, nature has a calming effect on me. I love music. I've always enjoyed all that good jam band and classic rock. Give me some Grateful Dead and I'm content.
