We of the Skiatook Broken Brain Group believe that all should be afforded the opportunity to recovery, if they have the desire. It should not matter what they wish to recover from, beer, whiskey, gin, alcohol helpers, or just nose picking. We further believe that the solution, for us anyway, is in the 12 steps of recovery which are laid out in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. We also believe in having fun and staying sober. As my sponsor loves to say "if you like hanging around drunks and junkies, you'll love the Broken brain Group."If you think you want what we have and are willing to go to any length to get it, then come trudge the happy road to recovery with us."I suppose some would be shocked at our seeming worldliness and levity. But just underneath there is deadly earnestness. Faith has to work twenty-four hours a day in and through us, or we perish." "Abandon yourself to God as you understand God. Admit your fault to Him and to your fellows. Clear away the wreckage of your past. Give freely of what you find and join us. We shall be with you in the Fellowship of the Spirit, and you will surely meet some of us as you trudge the Road of Happy Destiny. May God bless you and keep you-until then".
