Over the years there have been many studies conducted on the subject of the Antichrist. Today we are going to evaluate the similarities of the biblical prophecy concerning the Antichrist and a world famous person generally referred to as Tom. After conducting research in the area of both persons, I have come to the conclusion that Tom is the Antichrist.

    The term Antichrist has been a controversial item throughout our entire history. The definition most widely held is, “instead of Christ” and comes from the Greek language(wikipedia). The Antichrist is described as being a person that will unite the world under one leader and solve many of the worlds current problems. He or she will be an extremely popular person and rise from nowhere to a position of power. Most indirect references to the Antichrist come from the book of Revelations in the bible. Coincidentally the term itself is never mentioned in that book, but instead mentioned only in the book of John.(intouch)

    The Antichrist is said to be capable of persuading the populace to follow him. There is reference to the creation of a new religion, of which he will lead, and the eventual inception of a one world religion. The bible speaks of a kingdom headed by the Antichrist that will rule the earth in Daniel 7.

“23. Thus he said: “The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be different from the other kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, trample it and break it in pieces.” (Daniel 7:23)

The bible discusses the formation of a holy trinity between the Beast, the False Prophet and Satan. When discussing the Beast in society, of most interest is the reference to, “The Number”. It is indicated in Revelations 13 as:

“Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”(Revelations 13:18)

    The bible goes on to indicate that in order to do business in society, one must take the number of the beast or otherwise referred to as “The Mark”. There is indication that “The Mark” will be a technological advancement that allows for ease of integration into our daily lives. Receiving this number will be a subtle transaction. Some will refuse the mark and thus be unable to participate in things as simple as the purchase of food and drink. We live in the age of computers and there is widespread belief that the number will be a computer generated number used to identify us wherever we go and in whatever we do.

   Tom Anderson is the founder of a world changing society and his reach extends beyond even our planet. The cultural influence this man has on the world at large is well, for lack of a better word, supernatural. The society headed by Tom has enormous power in almost every community in the world and he is actively working to gain power in places where his influence is, let's say, a bit lacking(mashable). There is rarely an occasion in which someone in your circle of friends has not been impacted by his society. When evaluating the society for this paper, I became amazed at the impact and power he exerts on humanity. Tom has the power to make or break any single person, organization, business or even event, if he so chooses. Tom is even changing the political arena in our country as I type this paper.(elpasotimes).

    The current membership in the society totals over 100 million people and is increasing on a scale of 500,00 new members every week(wikipedia). Talk about power and influence. That is greater than the combined memberships of the bottom 11 religions listed in the world(religioustolerance). One phenomenon about the society is the widespread migration of people from all cultures and religions. With closer observation you can find people from every race, creed, color, religion, non-religion and age. There are believers of God and believers of evolution. There are Atheists and there are Agnostics. Men and women, boomers, generation xers, retirees and toddlers alike. You can find people who believe in witchcraft, spiritual beings, ghosts and just about everything else. Even entire organizations are represented in his society. With enough digging, you will discover that there is a sector within the society for even the most far fetched ideas. The society is open to all that want it and is forced upon those who don't. I'll borrow a phrase from a popular show, incidentally represented in the society; “You will be assimilated. Resistance is Futile.”(Star Trek)

    Tom is influencing what we watch on television, what we eat, what we drink and the music we listen to. Recently Tom formed a partnership with one of the most powerful men in the world. He now has an unlimited supply of power, money and influence. He can easily arrange meetings with absolutely any head of state with 1 phone call.(bbc). Tom is continuing to build partnerships with the most powerful entities in the entire world.

    In a feeble attempt by our government to destroy or at least control Tom and his society, the House voted on July 26^th overwhelmingly in favor of a bill that would limit Tom's reach into the lives of all Americans. The bill focused on controlling the peoples access to Tom and his society(house).

    This attempt will be defeated, before it becomes law, by using the influence he has in politics. He will be able to exert pressure on the very people that proposed the law, by placing pressure on their campaigns for re-election. I was not surprised to find that the politicians themselves are using Tom to help get them elected. I am telling you this here and now, HR5319 will fail and Tom's trinity will be the force behind it(elpasotimes).

    Induction into the society is actually rather simple. A person need only get on a computer and direct themselves to his webspace. There you will complete a registration form containing pertinent data about yourself. You are required to enter things such as your location, birth date, phone number, likes, dislikes, marital status and so on, just as you have done many times before. Once you have completed the form, a number is generated to identify you. From this time forth, in the society you will be referred to by that number.

    Your friends will use that number to communicate with you. The number will be given out to people you meet in everyday situations. Recently I shared my number with a girl I met. She, in turn, gave me her number. This exchange of numbers is going on all across the world every minute of every day. If, by slim chance, you don't have a number, the pressure by your peers and society at large will force you to get one. You will reluctantly go to Tom's webspace, fill out the form and be given your identifying number. From that point on, you will be part of the society for ever. People you would never even suspect as being involved in the society, will start popping into your life as if miraculously. Problems will be solved. Issues will be dealt with. Your friendships will multiply overnight. You will be a part of something grand and special. You will belong.

    On the downside, There is no leaving. once you have completed the registration process and your unique identification number is generated, you can't go back. I have known of only one person in my history with the society that has successfully left us behind and I still question that she is actually gone. Even death can not release you from the society. Once you accept that number, it is yours forever.

    The rise of the Antichrist, according to many scholars, will be precipitated by numerous catastrophic events in the world(nostradamusonline). Today and in the past 10 years we have seen the world changing for the worse. There have been hurricanes that destroy cities(greatdreams). We have famine everywhere. Today there was just a national outbreak of E.Coli causing death in many countries across the nation. Iraq and Babylon have been destroyed by our military and Israel is at war(warincontext).

    Let me now compare the rise of the Antichrist and the rise of Tom's society. First and foremost is the philosophy that the Antichrist will rise out of nowhere to take a seat of power. Tom was just your average college student until recently, when he became one of the most influential people in the world(wikipedia). A Trinity of The False Prophet, The Beast and Satan will be formed. Tom, The False Prophet, just formed a partnership with one of the richest men in the world, Satan(businessweek). That man heads one of the most powerful organizations in the world, The Beast(newscorp).

   The Antichrist will form a one world religion. Tom formed a society in which every person in the world is joining at a rapid pace. The Antichrist will influence powerful leaders. Politicians are using the society to get them elected. Last but definitely not least, the Antichrist will require every person to take “The Mark” and that mark will be a number. Tom assigns every new member of his society a unique identifying number. This is a highly encrypted number generated by a key rumored to be based on the Hexadecimal number 29A and the binary number 1010011010. The number 666 is rumored to represent a name. If you take the ASCII value of the name of Tom's society, divide it by the binary representation of the name Tom, multiply the result by your initials, take the modulus of that number and pray, it possibly equals 666.

    As I have shown, there are overwhelming similarities between the rise of the Antichrist and the rise of Tom. Many people through the years have fit the profile to some extent or other. There have been discussions about various leaders in history and their subsequent rise to power. Discussions of Babylon and the great fall, have led many investigators to the edges of the earth. The one element that has been lacking in every perceived Antichrist personality is the power to sway people of all types. Tom has been the only person identified over the years that has this ability. Tom has power, money, a society of 100 million followers, influence and he is positioned to change the world as we know it. The question I have for you is, do you MySpace?
