" Sobriety is number one in my life. Without it, nothing else would be in my life. I have a God who truly loves me just the way I am. And he forgave me. What an amazing deal that is. And, because of that I have a life beyond my wildest dreams. I have a good marriage and 4 beautiful grown children. Four grandchildren and one in the basket. Life will alwways throw us some curves. It's how we deal with those curves that matter. I have tools today and I actually know what to do with them. I have more friends that I ever had before. Friends who actually care about my well being. Before they just wanted the bag or a drink, whichever came first. I never have to do this deal alone. No matter what is going on in my life today, I have lots of friends to go through it with. And visa versa. This sobriety is the best thing that ever happened to me. Today, February 9, 2007, by the grace of God I have 3281 days of sobriety, one day at a time. And if I keep doing this one day at a time, next Thursday (2/15/07) I will be 9 years old. Thank God for AA. "
